H.R. 689 – Bolts Ditch Access and Use Act

Jared Polis introduced H.R. 689 to insure adequate use and access to the existing Bolts Ditch headgate and ditch segment within the Holy Cross Wilderness in Eagle County, Colorado.

BILL STATUS

The bill was introduced in the House of Representatives on January 24, 2017. The Bill was passed 409-1 in the House on February 6 and conveyed to the Senate, read twice, and placed in the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources.

BILL SUMMARY

The bill indicates that the Secretary of Agriculture shall permit the Town of Minturn, Colorado, non-motorized access and use of the Bolts Ditch head gate and Bolts Ditch within the Holy Cross Wilderness, to divert water for use and for maintenance and repair of the ditch and head gate.
